  • Far target location, GPS backup and enhancement, hull and turret azimuth, and steer-to/cross-track error displays
  • Continuous, jam-proof position data
DESCRIPTION

A digital compass–based target location system for turreted armored vehicles delivers an easy-to-integrate, affordable tactical navigation and targeting capability tailored for modern land forces. Designed for platforms such as cavalry vehicles, reconnaissance assets, armored personnel carriers, and light armored vehicles, the system provides commanders and drivers with accurate, continuous situational awareness in complex and contested environments.

At the core of the solution is a high-precision digital compass and inertial sensing architecture that continuously determines vehicle position, hull azimuth, and turret orientation. This enables accurate far target location by correlating line-of-sight data with vehicle attitude and position, allowing crews to rapidly detect, designate, and share targets with confidence. Integrated GPS functionality provides primary positioning, while advanced GPS backup and enhancement techniques ensure reliable operation during degradation or jamming, maintaining navigation continuity when it matters most.

The system supports real-time steer-to and cross-track error displays, giving drivers intuitive guidance for precise maneuvering and route adherence. These features reduce workload, improve coordination between crew members, and enhance mission tempo during reconnaissance, patrol, and combat operations. Universal multilingual displays for both commander and driver further increase usability across multinational forces, minimizing training time and enabling rapid deployment.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the architecture supports standard military and industrial interfaces, including Ethernet, CANbus, RS-422, and RS-485, ensuring seamless integration with existing vehicle electronics, battle management systems, and fire control solutions. The modular, open design allows the system to scale from basic navigation to advanced targeting and orientation roles without costly redesign.

By combining digital compass technology, resilient positioning, and intuitive displays in a compact, cost-effective package, this tactical navigation and targeting system significantly improves operational effectiveness, survivability, and situational awareness for turreted armored vehicles operating in today’s demanding battlefields.
