SDN-500 GPS/INS TACTICAL GRADE NAVIGATION SYSTEM (NON-ITAR)
Miniature MEMS Integrated GPS/INS Tactical System
Our most advanced GPS/INS Tactical Grade System. The compact SDN-500 combines latest generation quartz gyros, quartz accelerometers, high-speed signal processing, and a 48-channel Coarse/Acquisition (C/A) Code GPS receiver into a powerful, tightly coupled Guidance and Navigation System. There is also an option to utilize a Selective Availability Anti-spoofing Module (SAASM) GPS receiver. The versatile tactical grade system delivers a reliable 3.9 meter Spherical Error Probable (SEP) GPS-aided accuracy. Our proprietary Quartz MEMS Inertial Sensors maintain position and attitude accuracy in the event of loss of GPS tracking. The low power SDN-500 is designed for integrator and OEM use in the latest demanding smaller, more scalable system applications. The SDN-500 is an ideal solution for critical applications in such areas as geo-surveying, unmanned air and ground vehicles, precision targeting and positioning, and it enables excellent system solutions in demanding commercial applications.

License-free Quartz Micro-Electro Mechanical System (QMEMS) Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) provide a high-precision, export-friendly solution for demanding civil and industrial applications worldwide. Designed to meet the needs of commercial aerospace, industrial, and marine markets, QMEMS IMUs combine exceptional accuracy, robustness, and flexibility in a compact, low-power package suitable for challenging operating environments.
These IMUs are offered in several performance-to-cost configurations, enabling system designers to select the optimal balance between accuracy and affordability. Performance options typically range from 1°/hour gyro bias stability with 1 mg accelerometer performance to 20°/hour and 5 mg, maintaining reliable operation across wide thermal ranges and under severe shock and vibration conditions. This scalability makes QMEMS IMUs well suited for applications such as flight control and stabilization, navigation aiding, autonomous vehicles, marine survey systems, and high-end industrial motion sensing.
At the core of each unit is the latest generation of quartz gyroscopes and quartz accelerometers. Quartz sensing elements are valued for their inherent material stability, low noise, and minimal aging effects, delivering outstanding precision, sensitivity, and linearity over long operational lifetimes. High-speed digital signal processing further enhances performance by improving noise immunity and ensuring accurate measurement of dynamic motion.
Housed in a small, lightweight, hermetically sealed enclosure, QMEMS IMUs are engineered for durability and reliability. They feature industry-standard serial communication interfaces with configurable protocols, simplifying integration into a wide range of host systems. Additional capabilities include Time of Validity (TOV) synchronization, continuous Built-In Test (BIT) for health monitoring, and robust electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection.
With long mean time between failure (MTBF) and flexible input power compatibility, QMEMS IMUs are easy to deploy and maintain. Their license-free availability, combined with high performance and rugged design, makes them an attractive choice for precision inertial sensing in complex civil and industrial operating environments.
